  • Are these professional comedians?

    • Yes. We maintain a roster of comedians who have been impacted by closures of arenas, venues, and clubs across the US. They’d normally be on tour or headlining a comedy club

  • Is the comedy Safe For Work?

    • Yes. Unless you otherwise explicitly ask for raunchier material, our comics are not going to upset HR

  • How long does each show last?

    • Each comic does a traditional 10-minute sets

      • 1-comic show: 8-11 minutes 

      • 2-comic show: 16-22 minutes

      • 3-comic show: 24-33 minutes

      • Deluxe: 60 minutes

  • Talk to me about this Deluxe show

    • This is our favorite show to put on and (with permission) other comics have popped in just to watch. The format mirrors an actual club experience and includes live music and a proper MC who engages your audience. We work with you on a bespoke experience (e.g., talking points, musical requests), but the event typically goes as follows:

      • 5 minutes    Musician plays 1-2 songs as folks get settled

      • 10 minutes  MC welcomes everyone, engages audience a bit, brief standup

      • 10 minutes  Comic 1  

      • 10 minutes  Comic 2

      • 5 minutes    Brief standup from MC 

      • 5 minutes    1 song by Musician and time for drink refills/bio breaks  

      • 10 minutes  Comic 3  

      • 10 minutes     Musician plays everyone out 1-2 songs

  • How long in advance do I need to book?

    • We ask for 12 hours, but we’ve made shows happen with 2 hours notice. For bookings within 6 hours, please also email info@standup2corona.org

  • Do I need Zoom to book a show?

    • No. We can accommodate Zoom, Google Hangouts, WebEx, and Teams. For a small admin fee, we can also host the show on our Zoom account or Google Hangouts

  • How does this work?

    • During booking (or after) you provide us with a link to your Zoom/Google Hangouts/Teams/WebEx. We provide you with a helpful 1-pager on how to host and what to expect. While we ask you to do some hosting responsibilities - asking your guests not to interrupt, configuring the videoconference based on our hosting sheet - our comics can MC themselves with little input

  • What happens after booking?

    • We confirm your show immediately via an automated response. 24-48 hours before showtime you’ll receive an email with your comic(s) names, contact info, and bio

  • Can I request a specific comic?

    • Ehhh. We’ll try our best if one of our comics you like is available to book them. Note: Chapelle, Seinfeld, and Wanda Sykes aren’t returning our calls

  • How customizable is the show?

    • We ask for audience notes and do our best to match the comedy to the audience (e.g., parents, recent graduates, finance professionals, etc.) and will take reasonable requests

  • Can I book a roast or improv?

    • We realllllllly prefer not to do this. We’ve done it. It’s gone reasonably well but it requires a good amount of coordination. Email info@standup2Corona.org and we can work with you

  • Who books SU2C shows?

    • We’ve done shows at 20+ companies, several birthday parties, bachelor parties, and retirements. The majority of our shows are team events, town halls, and big meetings where people could use a laugh to break up the monotony of lockdown

  • How does this support charity?

    • We’re a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our comedians have graciously partnered with us to raise money for Feeding America. Each comic’s set provides 250+ meals to food banks across America that have seen surges in demand throughout the pandemic (A 3-comic set donates ~1,000 meals)

  • So how much impact have you had?

    • To date, we’ve donated 30,000+ meals to Feeding America. We’ve also hosted free shows for teachers, healthcare workers, and seniors. And... we’ve been able to put comics back to work

  • Wait… you guys put on free comedy shows for folks who need laughs?

    • We do. Every month we donate 5 sets to organizations across the country. If you want to suggest a worthy org you care about, email info@standup2corona.org

  • Who’s in charge here?

    • StandUp2Corona was started by two friends who missed going to live comedy and thought it would be funny to bring a stand-up comic to a business meeting to lighten the mood. Turns out we could all use a good laugh right now and their friends told other friends and now there’s a website and online booking process

  • Can I pick which charity to donate to?

    • We’ve got a process down for working with Feeding America, but for 3-comic and Deluxe shows we can work with you, but reserve the right to refuse if the organization is against our ethos

  • Where else have you done shows?

    • We’ve reached audiences on 4 continents and in 30+ countries

  • Can I help you out at all?
